Past Boxers in loving memory:
Julietta
Ch. Tambay’s Julietta
14.11.82 - 20.10.89

The father/daughter mating was not planned but happened while we were on an overseas sojourn.

Julie was the only surviving puppy from this litter of seven and because of her incest breeding we decided to keep her.

Julie did reasonably well in the show ring. When Mr Helmut Göbel, Chairman of the Judges’ Panel of the Boxer-Klub Munich judged in Pretoria on 11 August 1984, we were extremely happy with her rating of excellent and second place in her age group 18-24 months. His written critique as follows:

21 months old, medium sized golden brindle bitch. Narrow, square skull. Medium width muzzle. Should have more turn up of nose. First class neck, short body with well-marked top and underlines. Good depth of chest. Forehand well and hindquarter very well angulated. Good movement with free reach and thrust.

At the end of the championship show a challenge class was held to establish the Best Mover of the day and to our absolute delight Julie won the special prize donated by Mr Göbel. This pewter plate is proudly displayed to this day.

Her first litter for which we had such high hopes was a big disappointment as she only produced one stillborn puppy. She produced four puppies in her second and final litter.

From this litter, her daughter:
  • Tambay’s Nitty Gritty

  • was sent to Karin Rezewski in Germany.
